We are re-imagining to expand the role of a house not just a series of domestic spaces but a house that has impact in micro and macro scales to its community. We want to add variety of spaces for F and B, retail, and a home-stay. Immediately, we thought of this house not as a building but a series of universal spaces and infrastructure for the client to change and adapt accordingly. The lot is then divided in the middle by a series of stairs splitting the floors from semi-basement to the rooftop level. According to us, split levels are the most efficient and flexible method to achieve privacy and flexibility of changes. All mechanical and electrical services are then run in the stairs’ core to service each rooms and changes in the future.
