Waturenggong food court is a recycling project, turning an existing carpentry warehouse complex into a food court complex. The client belief that the surrounding area had evolved into a commercial zone and no longer viable to run his carpentry business. The design breaks away from the grid and modulation of existing warehouse structures and creating an organic flow of circulation from indoor to outdoor from eating area to event space across 2 levels. The organic flow is created with curved floor plate at the second floor and ground marking with different materials to regulate programs and circulations. We believe designs that eliminates corners are able to bring people together and creating a successful commercial space.
