Villa Asti is renovation project located in Canggu area. The site is measured at around 1800m2 and the land slopes at 7m from the street level. Currently the site is occupied with 2 one-storey villa buildings and a swimming pool each. Each villa building consist of 2 bedrooms with ensuite. Other amenities such as kitchen, laundry, storage, maid building are all located along the north east side of the site. The building are built in 2004-2005 in brick walls with paint finish and alang-alang roof. There are extensive use of local materials, such as, rattan ceiling, timber beams and columns, stacked stone, limestone, etc. The site also has a couple of mature coconut trees along the north east side of the site and also shrubs and vegetation along the river. Our proposal should respect its surrounding nature and existing buildings on site as well. We are looking for harmony between the new proposal and existing building through form, function and materials.
Role : Architect & Interior Designer
- Brainstorm ideas;
- Seek and share inspiration and reference to support creative design solutions;
- Develop design ideas and concepts;
- Develop drawings, sketches, and 3d modeling to convey ideas and concepts;
- Exploration of design options;
- Assemble presentations using a variety of digital media, particularly Adobe InDesign;
- Participating in building check;
- Specificy materials and furnishing, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, etc.;
- Preparing construction drawing;
- Participting in meeting with suppliers, consultants and owner.
